#8 Washington D.C. is famous for alot of things, including all the young professionals that come to
live in this town.
At Vision of Peace, you'll definitely feel at home if you can
joke around with
lawyers, doctors, graphic artists, and computer geeks.
#7 During our Sunday morning worship service, we have a
5-minute coffee break that allows us to
connect with one another. Then, we're ready to listen to the sermon.
#6 Our music style is contemporary: drums, keyboards, guitars and vocals.
No robed choir. No pipe organ. However, we really don’t want you to think that our church
is all about a performance happening on the stage.
It's about the worshiping the Lord.
#5 You’ll soon pick up that we have this crazy Hawaii theme going on around here.
Pastor Gordon and his family moved here from Honolulu in 2005.
They have definitely brought the Aloha spirit to our church.
#4 We are affiliated with the United Methodist denomination,
however we are attracting people from many religious backgrounds.
#3 Get ready to be challenged. If you are stuck in
some
self-satisfied comfort zone, then you've come to the right place.
We specialize in getting people involved in things they have never done before,
especially when it comes to reaching out to desperately needy people around the world.
#2 If you come to Vision of Peace, you'll fall in love with all our kids.
It might be a shock for you to see so many children in one place – but get over it.
These kids are gifts of God given to our entire church family.
#1 There’s no pressure. You don’t have to be afraid that a religious zealot
is going to show up at your doorstep.
You won’t be spammed with religious giveaways.
Take as much time as you need to get to know us
and more importantly get to know the Lord!
